Animal Kingdom

We really enjoyed Disney's Animal Kingdom, we spent a day and a half at that park. It was a lot of fun and the rides were great! When you first walk into the park one of the first things you see is "the tree of life" it almost feels as if it is an illusion. It is really beautiful!

Miss Elena has always loved Flamingos (are glamingas as she used to call them)

More face painting! Elena loved the face painting and Jordan really did as well. Until he had an allergic reaction to the paint....oh well we did get some pretty fun pictures of our little Lion!

The African Safari was one of our very favorite rides! You get to ride through the Savannah and get really close to the animals.

One of our very favorite rides from the trip was Expedition Everest! The kids were a little scared at first but then it was the ride we couldn't wait to do again!

Mother's Day in "the happiest place on earth"!

I couldn't ask for a better Mother's Day! Spending the entire day with my wonderful family having a ton of FUN! And you would think just being together in Disney World would be a gift in itself, but my sweet hubby and kiddos also got me sweet presents!

We started Sunday off in Disney Hollywood Studios! The highlights were Star Wars, Toy Story Mania, and a lot of fun shows!

The kids had a lot of fun teaching nana and poppy a bunch of fun hand games.

Nana struggled a bit, but she finally got it! :)

BUZZ!

So the kids had grand ideas of riding Tower of Terror! Jordan said "after this ride he would be a MAN". Well, he is a man now but does not ever want to ride tower of terror again. Elena wasn't thrilled about it either. Jeff and I had a blast!

We saw so many fun shows in Hollywood studios. Beauty and the Beast, American Idol and Indiana Jones! Elena discovered "face painting" she felt like a princess everyday!

On Sunday night Magic Kingdom was open till 1am. You better believe we shut down the park! We all had an awesome time, we got to pretty much walk onto all the rides with no wait! We left Zach back at the room to with nana and poppy and had a lot of fun with the big kids! We were amazed that they stayed up so long with no complaints!

No way it has been that long......

It does not seem possible that I have not blogged in over 6 months! Life has gotten so busy. I kept saying I would blog and some how it just wouldn't happen. But I guess there is no time like the present. So I will start with what's going on now and fill in as we go.

It just so happens that I have something very fun to blog about! We just got back from an amazing Walt Disney World Vacation! No it isn't summer yet, and no our kids are not out of school yet. But we took them out of school for a week and had an amazing time!

We left on Saturday, May 7. We invited Jeff's parents to join us. They met up with us here in Dallas and we flew to Orlando all together. The kids have been so excited the last few months planning for this trip and working very hard to earn spending money as well.

Disney does everything so "Magical"! As soon as we arrived we had a large bus waiting to take us to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, our home for the next 7 days! They even took care of the luggage, it arrived in our room a few hours after we did. Fantastic!

We didn't sit still long...as soon as we could we were off to hit The Magic Kingdom! We had an awesome dinner (I highly recommend the dinner plan it saves a lot of money and is so easy to use!) And went straight to some of the favorite rides! Buzz Light Year ride for sure and of course Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain!

The only way to end a perfect magical Disney night is of course with Fireworks! We had some very happy and tired kiddos at the end of the night!
